Dedicated to the memory of Merrick Burns

On June 8th 2015, our family lost our fantastic son and brother, Merrick Burns, in a motorbike accident. As his dad I’m raising money for the Midlands Air Ambulance service, the great organisation that did their best to save Mez’s life.

Aged just 27, Merrick was a lover of waterskiing, rugby, motorbikes and everyone close to him. He’d do anything for anyone and deserves to be remembered in so many ways.

I recently watched a film called “The Way”. It gave me the idea to complete part of the Pilgrim Walk – The Camino de Santiago – which is featured in the film, to raise money in memory of my son. The Sierra to Santiago walk will take me 8 hot days in August, walking 6 to 7 hours a day. I have a lot of intense training to do before the trip! I will give frequent updates through my facebook page (search “Merrick Burns’ Dad’s Charity Walk”)and the local media, as well as upload photographs of my journey along the way.

Please donate anything you can to the Midlands Air Ambulance Service and share the updates of my journey through my facebook page with your friends and family. Tragically, Merrick’s life could not be saved, but so many are every year, thanks to this truly vital organisation.

**Merrick would give everything before he’d take anything – let’s raise as much as we can**
